DETAILS: Incredible antique stoneware seltzer or mineral water jug/bottle, handmade in Germany in the late 1800s/19th cen. for NIEDERSELTERS NASSAU (which is stamped on the bottle). Also stamped is "PREUSSISCHE BRUNNEN-VERWAKTUNB". Maker's mark and Number stamped below handle.

German potters known as Krugbacker, or pot bakers, produced cylindrical brown mineral water bottles from the second half of the 18th century through the 19th.
